Royal Brunei Airlines will return to Beijing Daxing Airport this spring.

The national airline of the Brunei will operate two weekly flights (outbound-Monday, Thursday, return-Tuesday, Friday) between Brunei and Daxing Airport from April 28. Airbus A320neo aircraft with 150 seats – 12 Business and 138 Economy – will be used on the route.

First launched in October 2019, Royal Brunei's Brunei-Daxing service was suspended in October 2024. Royal Brunei Airlines said the decision to resume services on the route aligns witth Brunei's broader tourism and trade objectives under Wawasan 2035, supporting the increasing demand for business, education, and leisure travel between the two nations.

“We are delighted to resume our services to Beijing Daxing, reaffirming our commitment to strengthening the deep-rooted ties between Brunei and the People’s Republic of China,” said Captain Sabirin Haji Abdul Hamid, Chief Executive Officer, Royal Brunei Airlines. “The temporary suspension of this route in October 2024 was a challenging yet necessary decision due to market conditions. However, after careful evaluation, we are confident that the time is right to reconnect our capitals and provide our guests seamless travel options.

In addition, customers from Beijing can make connections via Brunei to cities on Royal Brunei's network including Bangkok, Balikpapan, Kuching, Kuala Lumpur, Ho Chi Minh City, Singapore, Jeddah, and Jakarta.

Since November 30, 2024, citizens of Brunei can enter China visa-free for a period of up to 30 days for business, tourism, family visits, transit, and exchanges.
